I want you to meet another special puppy...
...this is my Iowa cuzin Sam.
Isn't he handsome?
He kept mom company while she was in Iowa and away from me.
Sam lives with my mom's aunt and uncle on the farm.
He is an outdoor, working dog, so he doesn't sleep in the house :(
This makes me and my mom sad, but don't worry bloggie furiends, Sam is loved and treated very well.
(but we still don't likes that he can't come in the house)
(but we still don't likes that he can't come in the house)
He sleeps in his very own kennel in front of the barn...
... and just look at his backyard!!
You all thought mine was big ; )
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
Seriously, that is his yard???????? My life is really unfairs now. I gets da couch neighbors.
ReplyDeleteUmmmm, what kind of doggie is he and what kinda work does he do? We been looking fur somebuddy to does our floors.
Puddles
Sam has a furry nice spread there. I guess being a working dog he doesn't miss sleeping in the house, but those Iowa winters must get cold and he doesn't look like a Husky to me. Anyway, he's a handsome fellow.
ReplyDeletewags, Lola
Sam looks a little shy? That's some back yard, wow! I don't think I would even know what to do with all that space!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Wow!! Sam is a cutie! And that backyard is just so envious..I wish I had a back yard like that to run like a banshee in..Your country cuzin seems real nice..
ReplyDeleteChi Kisses,
Avery
Maggie Mae you and I are very lucky that we are independently wealthy and do not have to
ReplyDeletework for a living!!! After a stern talking to yesterday, I convinced my Dad that he should just pay all the house payment because I was not contributing this month.
Sam looks very very happy and healthy and boy does he have a nice yard. What type of breed is Sam?
Happy Weekend,
Madi
Maggie Mae thank you for your kind words for Harley. Poor little guy is on 6 years old. He was diagnosed with IBD (same as IBS in humans) about 1 year ago. They had that under control. Then two weeks ago he had 3 teeth pulled (gum disease probably brought on by the IBD meds). He was on antibiotics 1 week before the extraction and a week after. That mess up his tummy now. Then the worst thing in the world happened he could not go potty and became impacted. It has just been a mess. Oh well I won't get too graphic but he is really a very sweet kitty and Mom loves him a lot so I do too but from afar.
ReplyDeleteMadi
Hi Sam! Very much nice to meet you! It looks like you are very much happy and luved and taken care of. I thinks it's okay for some doggies to lives outside as long as they gives you food and water and shelter and lots and lots of luvs. I bet you're real good at whatever your job is!
ReplyDeleteWiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
M.M. Sam looks like he has the grrreatest place to live. I know about that living outdoors thingy. Some dawgs just prefer it that way.
ReplyDeleteWow! what a lucky Sam. His yard is hugeeeeeeeeee.. i could sniff there foreverrrrr and never be done. Nice to meet you Sam!

ReplyDeleteyour cousin sam sure is a good lookin' dude! i totally dig his furs! what kinda doggie is he? he looks like a really hard working guy. i bet he helps out just bunches 'n tons on the farm before he goes and plays in his HOOOOGE backyard. i'm a smidge jelly...just a smidge... ;)

the booker man
Thanks Madi and bookerman for making me awares of the fact that my mom forgots to let all of you know what kind of puppy Sam is...He is a GoldenDoodle!
ReplyDeleteWoofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
Yep,we thought he was a GoldenDoodle...too cute!
ReplyDeleteSam reminds me of one of our neighbor dogs, Monk. Monk is a labra-doodle. Even though Sam cannot sleep in the house (sad) we like that at least he has a nice shelter in the barn. What a pretty farm!!! Happy July 4!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSam is a handsome boy. Bet he was good company for your Mom when she was missing you. Sam would probably much rather stay outside than in the house. It all depends on where he stayed when he was a puppy. Since he works probably most of the day, he is very tired at night.
ReplyDeleteHope you all have a wonderful week end.
Your cousin Sam sure is a cutie!! Major bummer that he isn't allowed to sleep inside but man oh man that's a big backyard!
ReplyDeleteLots of slobber,
Droopy and Callie
Don't worries Maggie Mae, I be saving you some beers. I gots you name on 'em alreadies.
ReplyDeleteGlads I came to find out what kind of doggie Sam is...he is beautiful.
Puddles
Well, some puppies like the big outdoors. And then some puppies (one who won't be named) like to hog the bed! :)
ReplyDeleteCuzin Sam has the greatest and bestest back yard we have ever seen. You know, working dogs have great lives. We dogs like to have something to do and it is what he is used to. So dont worry about hime living outside, he probably loves his life.
ReplyDeleteAs for ourselves, even though hardy terriers, we likes our comforts and snuggles, but that is coz we is spoiled.
And we still likes to dig holes just like real dogs!
Hector and Bonny
