Happy Friday!
For the past week it has been really hot here in upstate NY where I lives.
In fact the whole East Coast has been a cookin' for a LOOONG time.

OK, so maybe not this hot but you gets the idea...
Anyhoo... a few days ago mom and dad thought that it would be a wonderful thing if they boughts me a kiddie pool, so when after I am done with my zoomies and such I could cool off in some waters. They even threw my favorite Wubba in the pool to "entice" me to gets in it.
Hey Mom! What's that over theres...
...and what is my Wubba doing in it?
You want me to do what?
Go in theres and lie down and splash around?
Do they thinks I am nuts?
(I can't believe they actually had this)
Now I know that I has LOTS of wonderful unboxer furiends that LUVS to do this sort of thing,
even my boxer buddies Sweet Lucy Lou and Lucy Mae likes to play in the waters, but my buddy Brix is not so sure about it.
I am not too sure abouts it yet either and all I have is a kiddie pool, not a big scary lake to swims in.
So for now I will cool off in a different way so you two have fun!
Puddles...where are the beers? :)
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
Whew...looks like I'm here just in time. I brung beers and pizza from da Elgin Pugs...hehehe!
ReplyDeleteUm, I thinks you mom has lost her mind and wasted her monies. Is there a chapter in dat nonsense book titled "Maggie Mae"....didn't think so. These peoples buying books is just pure craziness.
Puddles
Our mom bought us one of those years ago and we didn't like it either... and we swims in the ocean!
ReplyDeleteNot sure what the parentals are thinking sometimes!
Sam and Pippen
I think you would like it if you just give it a try. Have your mom toss in some chunks of TUBE STEAK and some baby carrots. They are grrrrreat to bob for. It was 99 at my house yesterday. That is a lot more than 87. I didn't think much of that temp..
ReplyDeleteI don't do pools. Hero's the only Shar Pei I ever even heard of who swims of his own free will. And Boxers and Shar Pei are not totally undrelated. We are both molasser type breeds.
ReplyDeletewags, Lola
Maggie Mae that is a very very nice pool you should try it, says the cat who never gets in water!! MOL We know what the problem is....no self respecting lady boxer swims neeked. You need a ittsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polk a dot bikini.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Happy weekend,
Madi and Mom
Maggie Mae, maybe it's just a big water bowl for you to drink from! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you're right to be a little leery of the plastic bath. I think all two-leggers make that mistake. 35987 years ago mine got one for Miss Cali. She thought it was a giant water bowl and was in shock when she found out what the two-leggers REALLY wanted her to do with it! Shade and cold beers work for me!
ReplyDeleteWags,
Zona
Thank you Maggie Mae I luvs you too... and you are so right sometimes personalities just click in peoples and animals.
ReplyDeleteHeck there are some peoples Mom hides from.
MOL.
Madi
Oh Maggie Mae you should give your pool a try. But us doggies here probably wouldn't get in it either. It does look very scary. So let's just have a cold one.
ReplyDeleteHave a cool day.
The other MaggieMae says, "Water? Water is for drinking!"
ReplyDeleteDon't be spreading too many rumors abouts me Maggie Mae. I don't mind da lake but Momma bought us a pool once and Calhoun ATE it!! I don't swim too good and we aren't much for da pools. Nikki on da udder hand, she think she a otter or sumptin'. I just like to float wif Daddy and sit on the shore and watch Daddy float.
ReplyDeleteLucy Mae
Dear Maggie Mae- start out by treating it as one big water bowl. Then step in a foot at a time. In this record heat you'll learn to love it.
ReplyDeleteI had to buy a bigger one for the kids here and STILL they never make room for me in it. So I am guessing they really like it.
You might really like it though - if anything you hop in there, get wet, and then shake near the closest human!
ReplyDeleteSam
I thought that was just a water bowl....looks like the right size for me....I'm just sayin'....
ReplyDeletemaggie wiggle butts--i don't blame you for not wanting to get in that monster tub/pool. i would run away. bbut remicakes is right~! you can use it as a huuuuuge water bowl~! :D
ReplyDeletei really enjoyed all your pictures--VERY ADORABLE wiggle butt~!
xo,
luna
That kiddie pool looks pretty fun Maggie Mae! But i don't know if i'd go in it either.....my humans want to get one for me this year....we live in the sunshine state and it gets really hot. you'll have to keep us posted if you actually use it!
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, stay cool!
Hugs and Licks, Bruschi
I don't know bout that thing Maggie Mae.
ReplyDeleteI knows our dear furrend Lorenza loves her pool and stuff....and I do sees lots of doggies on Blogs havin all kinds of funs splish splashing in pools.....butt that don't seem like sumthin I would just jump into!
I prefers to go into da cool house and make my moms jack down the A/C temperature. She cans spend her greenpapers on da electric bills, instead of buy me a giant plastic water bowl Bwwahahahahhaha!

We had one of those too and we hated it...it was too much like a bath!

I recently posted about this topic. It's unbelievable to me that ppl would leave their dogs in the car. I printed out some brochures and leave them in my car. If I see any pets in cars I plan on leaving a flier after I call the police.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the Blog Hop. I am following via Google friend.
