A Real Live Mini-Me

Hello everybody and Happy Sunday!
I has a real nice story to tell you today so get comfy and follow along :)
Lots of you all ready know my favorite stuffie Mini-Me...
...this was the very first stuffie that mom and dad boughts for me.
This is me with Mini-Me in mommy's car on gotcha day...
OK's everybody say Awwww :)

Anyhoo...and this is SO exciting, now I found a real live Mini-Me and I wants to introduce hers and her mom to you!
Meet Maggie Mae!!
Yes another boxer puppy named like me!  Isn't she a cutie??
Her mom is Amanda and she has a bloggie called

 Hollywood Chic
It's a bloggie for peoples but it's still really cool.  Amanda luvs animals and has 3 other rescued pets of her own. She found my bloggie on the Blog Hop last Saturday and told me about her Maggie Mae and then mom sent Amanda an e-mail to ask hers if she could send us a picture of her Maggie Mae and she did!
Here is Amanda's Mini-Me Maggie Mae's story:

I have had Maggie Mae for a week now, I got her directly from a puppy mill ring that I was able to break up (of course with police help) north of me. She is full blooded and they were selling her at a flea market I thought something was odd with the behavior and the fact the woman had 10 more pups from pits to rotts and beyond and all exibited puppy mill signs in their behavior. So I went ahead and phoned the police as the woman was leaving. I followed her home and the police were following me. We busted 9 people with a total of 52 dogs 19 exotic birds 16 animals of the wild caged including young fawns and bobcats, and 17 domestic house cats. The paperwork says she's 8 weeks old this week. I took her directly to the vet and she had a very bad infection and was near death in a few days. Now she's doing wonderful!!!

Yay for Amanda!!

Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae

PeeS Mom and Dad are going on a motorcycle ride today so I will be spending the day with grandpa and probably won't get the chance to visits with all of you.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

  1. How exciting to have a mini you Maggie Mae..

Never know people sell puppies are the flea market. We thought it only happened to countries like Vietnam, Cambodia and all those other 3rd world countries.

Anyhow, we really hope those puppies will find a good home soon..

  3. What are the odds! And what a great thing Mini Me Maggie Mae's mom (THAT'S a mouthful!) has done by saving her from those terrible people. You never know - you might meet one day. But what will you do when some calls "Maggie Mae... come here..."?? :)

  5. Those flea market sellers are questionable to say the least. My sister Cali was "bought" at one by a rescue lady who was too scared to let her go back home with them. I'm glad your mini-me was so lucky! AND that her pawrents accomplished such an awesome thing. Two mini-mes.... I wonder if there are more out there?

PeeS: I'm still awwing over your gotcha day photo!

  7. Oh, I forgot. Blog Mom says that she guesses it's downtown but is not sure which parts are which to Albanians. She first had that thought when she was on State Street, but Lark Street is like a little bit of Greenwich Village, or SoHo, or the Lower East Side or whatever is the artsy part of NYC this year. It moves a lot since real estate prices went so high. Might be in Brooklyn now. Also, she ate at Jack's once and just loved it because it reminded her of the city restaurants she used to go to with her parents when she was still a puppy. Oh, and the brownstones, of course. Lots of parts of NYC are full of those, just like lots of Albany is.

  21. I'm so glad that Maggie Mae the 2nd had such a happy ending to her story. Her mom was very brave, probably more brave than I would've been, to follow that lady home! My boys both came from puppy mills so I'm thrilled another one has been closed down. I hope all those other animals find proper homes.

I'm going to stop over and say hello!
