I am here to see da V-E-T 'bout my BooBoo paw.
Dis is Rich, he is gonna takes me back into an examination room now!
OoH I has been in dis room befores...
I remembers all dese smells...
I am watching and waiting fur da V-E-T to come in and see my BooBoo paw
Mom furgots to takes any pictures of my V-E-T lookin' at my BooBoo cuz she was talkin' to hims while he wuz lookin' at my paw. He told hers he is not sure what happened to my paw, but I has an infection in it so mom gots some medicines to take homes wif us.
Now I am saying good by to Miss Becky...don't furget to gives her da green papers mom!
I wuz a good gurl....huh mom!
Dis is all da medicines dat mom broughts home wif us.
She gots medicines to soak my paw in, Antee-By-ahTic pills and gooey stuffs to puts on my BooBoo.
Furst dey mixes da medicine in warm waters den I soaks my paw in it fur 10 WHOLE minutes, my dad helps me wif dis part.
Dis is my BooBoo paw soakin'...
Times up!
While dad is drying my paw off, mom gives me my
Antee-By-ahTic pill.
She puts da peanut butters on it...yum!
Den I gets dis gooey stuff put on my BooBoo.
I has to go through dis 2 times a day fur a WEEK!
I sure hopes dat my BooBoo goes away soon cuz I can't plays wif anybodys until it gets betters.

Oh Maggie, you have the best blog and the best assistant that writes it. Love the pictures of you going to the V-E-T. Looks like they like you a lot there. Most dogs have to be dragged into the vet but you are such a good girl.

You are very well behaved, Maggie. I once had a boo boo paw and it took both my mama and my papa to hold my paw in the medicine. I kind of have a thing about people touching my feet - don't like it at all!

That must be really hard to soak that foot for 10 minutes. Mom says it is impossible to get Ciara to dunk her paws in a bucket of water for even two seconds. We hope all the meds and TLC from the peeps make that paw all better very soon.

Maggie Mae...Your dad is very much good at helping you to soak your paw. That is a LONG time to have to do that.
ReplyDeleteI thought that AFFECTION was a goooooood thingy. Who knew that it could claws our paws to get all boo boo like and stuffs. I guess I'm gonna have to stop givin all that Affection to my mom. I don't want Her to have problems.. How would she open my cans and treat jars???

Poor Maggie Mae! At least that examining room you were in had a big EXIT sign on the door, so you could make a quick escape if you needed to! Good job to Mom and Dad for soaking your paw for 10 whole minutes!! I can guarantee you that Riley would only last for about 10 whole seconds...!

Ewwwww....you haves to put your paw in WATER? Well, I hopes I never get a BooBoo paw cuz I'd just tell 'em to amputate my paw before I'd let 'em put it WATER! Poor Maggie Mae. I feels SO sorry for you. I'm blowing you lotsa brindle get-well wishes. They're very pawerful, you know.

Maggie Mae, you are such a good patient!! Mom would never be able to get me to soak my foot for even a second or two....I'd be running off from her. I don't know which is a bigger pain for you Maggie Mae, the booboo or having to go through all that medicines. I'm pretty sure I'd have to fight my boys to get them to stick their footsies in water for 10 whole minutes. And then they'd probably lick off the gooey stuff. Hope it all works and that your infection heals up soon.
