Pip, Farley and a Max Update

Hello Everybody,
Because I am SO nice and such a good sister I am going to let Max take over MY blog on a Tuesday cuz him wants to give you all an update on his leg.
But before Max begins, we is sending LOTS of Luv and boxer puppy prayers to our good furiend Pip.
Pip is havin' some heart trouble and The Power of The Paw is needed fur him too!
And we have some sad news to share,
our good furiend Farley crossed over the bridge yesterday.
Please go and visit his blog and leave a message fur his family.
Goodbye sweet Farley, we will miss you.

OK Max, it is your turn now...
Thank you Maggie Mae

So far, so good...
The medication and the limitation to my jumping, stair climbing running around with Maggie Mae all day and not stopping until we are both exhausted cracker dog activity seems to be helping.  I go back to Dr. L today for a meet and greet with the underwater treadmill.  Hopefully I will enjoy the experience because mom and dad are going crazy trying to figure out news ways to help get rid of all my excess energy so if I like to walk in the treadmill, it is a good thing. Mom actually had the nerve to say I have become a bit "more destructive" since they have started to limit my activity. I really don't know what she is talking about, but apparently she has something called evidence which was collected over the weekend to back up these preposterous allegations...
Toilet paper from the downstairs bathroom
A decapitated and partially destuffed toy
A desqueaked nonstuffie
 My crate bed...
and the mat that briefly replaced my crate bed
Mom, I have no idea how any of this happened, but in my defense, I have noticed a few more squirrels hanging around outside the house...
(That's my story and I am sticking to it!)
Your Buddy,
Max

  8. Howdy Max, we haven't got squirrels, so at our place it must be possums. They are very destructive with our toys too. We know with a sweet face like yours, you can do no wrong hehehe. Take it easy buddy. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  10. We visited Mr. Pip and Farley. So sad.

Now then, Max, I hope that you apply yourself with great vigor to the treadmill. I will tell you that it works wonders. I was feeling much improved until the past few days (because I had to go a whole two weeks without my therapy due to the holidays).

As for acting out, well, a guy has to do what a guy has to do and it is hard not to feel kind of pent up when you are limiting your exercises.

  11. We are all crossing our paws here for Pip to be feeling better soon. And although we didn't know Farley, we heard about him from a friend and are very sad for his family.

Now, Max - it is so hard to be inactive but you need to let that leg heal. So try not to let those squirrels keep getting you in trouble.

  12. WEll, I am not going to pretend that you are totally innocent of the beheadings and other such sites we have seen.

Of course you did it. But what else is there to do when you are being forced to be calm. What is calm but another word for....."How come I don't get to do what I want"

But dude, it is just for a while. and really, if you don't do it voluntarily, they may have to put you in a cage, or hobble you or cone and hobble you and put you in a cage and drug you out of your mind. Even thouhg the last one is a kind of interesting way. (or so I hear)

  14. Thank you my sweet friends! I am trying very hard to get better! I didn't know Farley, but I will go visit his family now.

I believe you, Max! Besides toilet paper is made to be ripped up, right?

    Your pal, Pip

  15. Squirrels did all that fur sure. They are EVIL and they will take every opportunity to hit a guy when he is down. EVIL.

I hope the water thingy helps.. with ALL of your "tISSUES". I'm just sayin.

  16. Yeah....it was the squirrels, Max! Don't let da peeps blame you for it.

We has our paws crossed for Mr. Pip. All 36 of 'em!

And we're so sorry to hear about da loss of your furend. 2012 isn't starting out very well, is it?

  17. Max, your squirrels must have cuzin's in Texas. The exact same thing happens to Mulligan's crate bed EVERY.SINGLE.TIME! Our evil critters especially like the $$$ posture-pedic beds. Our infestation was so bad we had to resort to only using the cover for the bed, and then THAT got torn up. I think it's time to call in the exterminator here.

We hope you like your swim lessons. Make sure your Mom brings you a warm fluffy towel to dry off with! We have a feeling Maggie Mae would rather lounge by the pool with a tasty beverage and some cheetos.

We are so sorry for all the losses we've had lately. We send out prayers, hugs and Power of the Paw for all.

  18. So sorry to hear about your friends. We do hope that Momma figures out how to help poor Max with all of his energy. We really like stuffed kongs for that!

  19. Max...
OMC your Mom is a hoarder of evidence!! That is not good.
I suggest you zip your mouth and don't say another word until you lawyer up.

    We're heading over to Farley's....
    Hugs from your BFFF,
    Madi

  21. I didn't know Farley but how sad! I'll light a candle for him and then go visit his blog.

I heard about Pip and have been worried for him.

Thanks for the pupdate on Max. Max sounds a lot like Shiver with the destructiveness. Shiver has gotten better as he's gotten older but I still have to keep an eye on him.

  25. Hey there, you two! Sorry we haven't commented, although we've been lurking for a bit. Max, it was DEFINITELY the squirrels - and if you need legal defense we've heard Abby from Merryland is Very Good. Just saying... Oh, and Mom says if your vet okays it, melatonin sometimes works to, uh, slow us down a bit.

Nice decapitation, whoever did it! ;-)

  27. Yup, it was the squirrels :). I imagine that, by now, you've tried the treadmill. I bet that you were great at it. Our K, who is easily scared, thought it was no big deal. I hope that it was the same for you, Max!

We are thinking of Mr. Pip too.
