Da Story of Max Part I

Hello Everybody!
I sure want to thank all of you fur makin' my 400th post and surprise celebration so much fun.
Your Blogville welcome fur my new brudder Max was pawsome and we all thank you fur dat!
Now we want to begin to tell you da story of how Max became my brudder, and since it is Max's story I am gonna let's him do all da talkin'!
Hey Max, is you ready to start tellin' your story?
Yes I am Maggie!
OK new furiends, here is Part I of da story of me
Mom has wanted a new baby brudder fur Maggie Mae to exhaust her so she won't be such a pain plays wif fur a long time, but dad was not so sure. Mom knew her could get him to say yes but it was not gonna be easy and it might take a while.
One day in September, dad called mom up and said "You have to go to this website and take a look at this dog, I want us to try and adopt him"! Mom was very happy dad finally wanted to get another dog so mom went to the website to take a look, him was a cute dog fur sure,  but it wasn't me!

Anyhoo... mom and dad filled out an application and e-mailed it to da rescue site and then waited fur a response.....
Except fur da automated e-mail response after submission of da application, after 5 weeks, 4 follow up e-mail inquiries AND a message left on dere voice mail, dey heard NOTHIN' from dem.
(From mom : Of course animal rescue volunteers are very busy and the dedicated service they provide for unwanted animals is appreciated and respected but c'mon, no response at all after 5 weeks?)

Mom and dad was VERY annoyed wif da rescue peoples so dey finally gave up on dem, wouldn't you?
(We won't tell you who da rescue is BUT we will tell you dat dey is from da NORTHEASTERN part of da country and da BOXER is da type of dogs dat dey RESCUE.)

Dat night (Sunday), mom was kinda sad cuz of what happened or didn't happen wif da other dog so her started surfin' da internets and went to PetFinder.com.
Her thought oh why not, and typed in some informations and
look who her found lookin' at her!

Dis is my best puleeze adopt me face...
...Mom thought I look sad and skinny in deese fotos

After readin'  'bouts me on my petfinder.com page mom jumped off of da couch and woke dad up cuz him was all ready sleepin' and snorin' in his chair showed my fotos to dad and said "He is the one I want"!
Dad was not so sure him wanted to try again fur another dog, but mom ignored him WAS sure so her sent an email to da rescue peoples and within 2 hours her had a response and an application form to fill out.
By Monday morning, mom had worn dad down convinced dad dat I was da one to get and dey sent in da application.
Well, dat afternoon mom gots a phone call from da adoption coordinator at the rescue and dey talked fur a while and before you know it a meet and greet was scheduled fur da next day!
to be continued...

Well, dat's da end of Part I of my story. In Part II, I will tell you 'bouts my first meet and greet wif Maggie Mae and mom!
Hey Max,
you did a great job wif your first post.
I hopes you come back to hear more of Max's story!
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae and Max

  15. I am on the edge of my bed waiting for Part 2!

I kind of laughed to read about your mom wearing down your dad. Hehehe. That is how we wound up with PeeWee instead of a different kind of doggie. Don't tell him, but I really like the little dude.

Max, your face is hard to resist. And your head looks bite sized.

  33. Oh Max! You write as well as your big sister! You have a wonderful "puleeze" face ~ it will come in handy when you need another cookie and Mom says no way. Mulligan uses his on a daily basis and it works almost every single time! Tell Maggie Mae she is being a wonderful sister by sharing her people and blog with you. We can't wait for part 2 and lots more pics!

  37. Good job, Max, on your first postie! Oh, I can hardly wait for part II! Maybe those peoples didn't get back with your mom cuz it was meant for YOU to gets adopted by your family and not that other doggie. When mom and dad wanted to adopt a rat terrierist, their first two choices were already taken so Brudder Ranger was their THIRD choice! But it worked out just like it was s'posed to.

Oh, and by the way, your "adopt me" face is PAWFECT!

  43. I volunteer for rescue as well and to wait FIVE weeks is just crazy. Geesh, I hope they don't treat everyone that way as they just missed out on a GREAT home for one of their dogs and the dogs are the one who are truly loosing in the end. But it sounds it was meant to be and they say that everything happens for a reason, right? Max is such a handsome boy, congrats again! :)
