BooBoo Ear Update Thursday

Hello Everybodys and Happy Thursday!

Mom wanted me to gives all of you an update on my BooBoo ear and to thank all of you yet again fur all of your kind words and good wishes! 

My BooBoo ear is still a work in progress.  I no longer is wearing da babushka cuz mom finally realized dat I wuz NOT gonna keeps it on my ears anymore so her gave up decided to takes it off of me....yay! When I shakes my head I don't makes my ear bleed anymore so dat is a good thing!

Here is a close up of my BooBoo ear.  

Da furs all around it still hasn't grown back yet, so it still looks kinda icky and gross funny but it is healin' very nicely. 

I still has to wait a bit longer before I gets to go back to daycare but I am sure da time will go fast fur me but mom says da time is not goin' fast enough fur her...da nerve! ;)

Good News and Some Not So Good

Hello Everybodys!

Yesterday I went to da V-E-T. 

 I gots my stitches out so my ear tip is no longer nailed attached to my head...YAY! 

But my BooBoo ear still has not healed all da way so... 

... I has to wear my Babushka fur at least two more weeks AND I can't go back to daycare OR plays wif anybodys until my ear is all healed. :(

Dey will helps me to get better faster, I just know it!

PeeS from mom: The notch in Maggie Mae's ear is permanent. 

Hopefully she will remember that she must be a little more cautious when approaching potential new friends, especially the older, little ones. :)

Takin' It Easy

Happy Thursday Everybodys!

Furst of all thanks fur all of da wunderful comments left on my blog yesterday, Mom and me really appreciates all of dem.

After dad left fur work yesterday morning mom gave me a special treat to eat.  

It tasted real good but it made me sleepy so I stayed calm and quiet all day, dis made mom very happy!

You will notice dat da lunch lady net is no longer a part of my wardrobe.  Yesterday my good furiend Amber-Mae suggested mom should gets me a Snood to helps keep my ear protected. 

Mom thought it wuz a great idea cuz my lunch lady net wuz irritating da inside of my BooBoo ear which is now on da outside cuz my BooBoo ear is nailed stitched to my head.  

Dey don't sell Snoods locally but mom had a neck gaiter dat her wears while on da motorcycle so her tried dat on me instead. 

I am happy dat mom put dis on me cuz it feels soft on my BooBoo ear so I tolerates it much better. :)

No Meetin' Da Boys After All

Hello Everybodys! 

I couldn't go and meet my furiends Corbin, Emmett and Levi Mac last night cuz I had a little problem yesterday.

I managed to shakes da glue off my ear and it started bleedin' again.

So back to da V-E-T mom and me went dis time fur stitches. :( 

I gots a total of eight of dem in my BooBoo PLUS da V-E-T sutured my ear to my head to keeps my ear still AND to add "insult to injury" I has to wear a lunch lady net on my head fur a week! 

How humiliating!

Anyhoo, in addition to da stitches and da lunch lady net on my head I had to stay home last night and sleep off da sleepy shot I gots

so no meetin' up wif da boys fur me. I hopes dat after I am completely healed I will gets to see dem cuz I sure miss dems. :( 

Mom is happy 'bouts one thing, da V-E-T gaves her some pills fur me to take so I can stay calm.

PeeS note from mom:

The pills are a very mild sedative which Maggie Mae will be taking for the next week.  Without them, and the suturing of her ear to her head there would be a good chance of Maggie interfering with the healing process of her ear by shaking her head excessively and dislodging the clot. With her being calmer and her ear secure we have a chance of her wound healing properly. 
The tip of the ear is a very difficult place for an injury...who knew!

Trying to keep a two year old energetic boxer calm is next to impossible, especially my girl, so I am hopeful that this will work.

You will never guess what happened to me at daycare last week! 

I gots to meet three new furiends!  

Two of dems liked me...

but one of dems didn't :(

and boy did him let me know it!

greetin' so him gots mad at me and tried to 

BITE MY EAR OFF! 

Miss Shawna had to call my mom cuz her could not get da bleedin' to stop so mom tooks me to da V-E-T to gets me better!

My V-E-T had to gives me a SHOT so I would get sleepy so him could fix my ear.  I didn't need stitches but him GLUED da tip of my ear together den him had to bandaged my ear to my head to helps stop da bleedin'!

Mom wanted to buy some of dat shot stuff cuz all I did wuz sleep fur 87 hours when I gots home....da nerve! :)

No worries, da bandage is off and I am fine!

My visit to my V-E-T

Happy Monday Everybodys!

 Most of youz know dat I has a BooBoo paw so I had to go see da V-E-T on Saturday and gets some medicine fur it. Mom and dad felt bad cuz dey didn't notice I wuz havin' a problem wif my paw fur a couple of days has been taken real good cares of me and my paw seems to be gettin' betters now...

Mom is we goin' to see da V-E-T todays fur my BooBoo paw?

Hello deres!

I am here to see da V-E-T 'bout my BooBoo paw.

Dis is Rich, he is gonna takes me back into an examination room now!

OoH I has been in dis room befores... 

I remembers all dese smells...

I am watching and waiting fur da V-E-T to come in and see my BooBoo paw

Mom furgots to takes any pictures of my V-E-T lookin' at my BooBoo cuz she was talkin' to hims while he wuz lookin' at my paw.  He told hers he is not sure what happened to my paw, but I has an infection in it so mom gots some medicines to take homes wif us.

Now I am saying good by to Miss Becky...don't furget to gives her da green papers mom!

I wuz a good gurl....huh mom!

Dis is all da medicines dat mom broughts home wif us.

She gots medicines to soak my paw in, Antee-By-ahTic pills and  gooey stuffs to puts on my BooBoo. 

Furst dey mixes da medicine in warm waters den I soaks my paw in it fur 10 WHOLE minutes, my dad helps me wif dis part.

While dad is drying my paw off, mom gives me my

Antee-By-ahTic pill.

She puts da peanut butters on it...yum!

Den I gets dis gooey stuff put on my BooBoo.

I has to go through dis 2 times a day fur a WEEK!

I sure hopes dat my BooBoo goes away soon cuz I can't plays wif anybodys until it gets betters.

Taking it Easy

Happy Sunday Everybodys!

Tank youz fur all da good wishes yesterday 'bouts my BooBoo paw.  I has medicine and stuffs fur it so I am feeling betters today. Mom who is too busy this weekend doing her own thing to posts da pictures from da V-E-T visit says dat I can tell youz all 'bouts my paw tomorrow. 

In da meantime the V-E-T said I should takes it easy fur da next couple of days...

Who am I to argue wif dat advice? :)
