He is a very social boy who is great with other dogs. He also appears to be good with children and cats. If you own your own home and have a social dog that Mack could play with, he may be the dog for you.
Please send us an email if you are interested in adopting Mack.

Rescue Me Week Day 5

Hello Everybody!
What  a great week it has been.
Mom and me have enjoyed every minute of it!
Today is da final day of Mayzie's most pawsome
Rescue Me Week

So today on da last day of dis wunderful week, mom and me is gonna introduce you to a sweet little kitteh who needs a furever home of her very own. Her is at da

Whiskers Animal Benevolent League is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit
organization registered with the New York State Charities Registration
Bureau. We are a small, all volunteer-run, no-kill animal shelter in
Albany, New York.
Here at Whiskers we believe every life is meaningful and worth saving. We go the extra mile to do whatever it takes to make each cat and kitten's life we commit to the best it can be. Every cat and kitten we take in gets Whiskers lifetime pledge to be there for them for their entire lives if need be.

Meow! My name is Gezzy!

Gezzy is a beeOOtiful Calico kitteh, already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with other kittehs.

Here is her Story...

Gezzy is a very quiet and sweet young lady who is approximately 6 years old. Gezzy is sometimes too quiet - she is very friendly when people approach her but she rarely seeks out attention. This is unfortunate because people tend not to notice her because of her quiet nature.
Gezzy was one of our mom cats who had 8 kittens all of which have been happily adopted. Now Gezzy is looking for the new home she so richly deserves. Gezzy needs to get a special food for some minor health issues.
Please consider adding a beautiful lady like Gezzy to your home. She is completely comfortable with other cats and is just a nice, quiet kitty who is desperately looking for a chance be adopted into a loving home.
All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, age appropriately vaccinated and tested for FELV/FIV prior to adoption.

Somewhere out dere is a home fur sweet Gezzy
Mom and me just knows it!

Mom also says dat we will check in on Grizzly, Maggie and Charlotte, Gramps, Happy and Geezy and let you know when dey find dere furever homes. :)

Thanks Mayzie
for letting us help you honor your grandpa's life and love of animals!
Now I want to lets you all know 'bout a very cool fund raisin' event  dat is happening today over at

Rescue Me Week Day 4

Hello Everybody!

Day 4 of Mayzie's Amazing Rescue Me Week allows me and mom to introduce you to another wunderful and BIG new furiend in need of a furever home.
Meet Happy the Appy!
Happy is an Appaloosa, mom has always luved deese kind of horses.
Happy is very handsome, don't you agree?
Happy is in his early 20's and still has lots of life and rides left in him. He has been handled by children on the grounds and is very willing to go under saddle.  Since Happy is a retired gaming horse he would be perfect for an older child or adult rider who would like to do some weekend fun shows or even just hit the trail.
You can read lots more 'bout Happy

Happy is located at da
Double L Stable Equine Center and Sanctuary in upstate NY
Double L is a sanctuary first and foremost for the equines of the northeast that need a safe place to live.We deal with abuse, neglect, slaughter-bound, ex-racers, and other 'unwanted' or 'at risk' equines. We are a 25 acre 18 stall facility with lots of open pasture for the horses to run. Each horse is provided its own stall for eating and sleeping and staying out of the bad weather. We got our start with the PaSPCA in the 90's in Lancaster co. Pa and then moved the entire barn to the Adirondack region of upstate New York. The move was made to be able to enlarge the sanctuary as well as the retirement portion of the stable. We still will take in rescues for the PSPCA when called on as well as working with local law enforcement. We also work with a few other rescues to broaden the adoption area for their equines.

Hopefully Happy won't have to wait too much longer to find his furever home.

Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae

Rescue Me Week Day 3

Happy Wednesday Everybody!
On day 3 of Mayzie's Rescue Me Week mom and me wants to let you know about a very handsome and fun fellow who needs a home.
Right now he is livin' at

The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing shelter for lost, abused and unwanted animals since 1887. Our animal care facility is the largest in the Capital Region, receiving an average of over 6,000 animals per year. We receive not just common household pets like cats, dogs, rabbits and hamsters, but also snakes, birds, iguanas, fish, horses, livestock and even llamas.

Meet Gramps!
Great smiley face!

The staff calls me a senior but I'm not sure why. I may have some grey hairs but I'm far from old. I'm definitely a little wiser than some of the younger pits but I still have the spunk that they have. When I came in I had a large tumor on my tail which the amazing vet staff here kindly removed...Note the stub tail that I currently have. I don't mind it.. I'm actually glad because I'm less likely to get happy tail. So I can continue wagging my tail profusely whenever people walk by and greet me. So if you're looking for an older wiser handsome pittie then the name's "Gramps".
Gramps is so cool and him rides in style!

My paws is crossed fur you Gramps and I hopes you find your furever home soon.

For today's featured furry furiend, mom and me went to PetFinder.com to looks at all da dogs dat are listed from
(Dis is where my good furiends Corbin, Emmett and Levi Mac is from)
Here is one of da dogs from Homeward Bound dats needs a new furever home:
Hello!  My name is Grizzly -which does not fit my beautiful looks and personality!  I'm a great dog, but I was surrendered because I liked to chase... and sometimes catch and hurt.... the chickens at our house.  What do you expect?  They run around and taunt me!  I'm great with other dogs though and I really love children... the only thing I don't like are chickens.  So if you are a chicken-free house... I'd love to be your forever dog!
