It's Just An Old Flannel Sheet

It's just an old flannel sheet...
That was cut into sections 16 years ago so each puppy leaving for their new forever home would have the scent of their mother to take with them...

It's just an old flannel sheet...
That came home with our sister Samantha and helped comfort her during the first few nights with mom and dad...
It's just an old flannel sheet...
That mom washed and put away soon after Samantha's arrival, to keep it safe from a teething puppy...
It's just an old flannel sheet...
That mom pulled out years later, to comfort Samantha again, when she spent occasional nights away from home, her body starting to fail...
It's just an old flannel sheet...
That was wrapped around Samantha when she crossed over the rainbow bridge, cradled in our mother's arms...
It's just an old flannel sheet...
That was put away again, a treasured memory of an amazing dog...
It's just an old flannel sheet...
That means so much to us, because it is a reminder of our beautiful sister...

It's just an old flannel sheet...
That a section from will be part of a memory quilt being made for Sandra and her family, to help them heal from their devastating loss...
It's just an old flannel sheet...
That is filled with memories, blessings and love

Happy Thanksgiving and The Story of Me

Hello Everybodys and Happy Thanksgiving!

Here is my story...

In October 2008 my big sissy Samantha crossed over da Rainbow Bridge
Samantha Rae
March 18, 1996-October 22, 2008
Here her is, wasn't her beootiful?

Mom and dad was VERY sad after losing Samantha and told EVERYBODYS that they was never EVER gonna gets another puppy, but all of their family and friends knew that they had too much love to share and  it would only be a matter of time before they changed their minds.
Of course they was right because after 8.7 weeks, mom and dad started wanting another boxer puppy.
But since my big sissy Samantha came from a "backyard" breeder and had lots of health problems mom and dad decided they meaning my mom would do some research and gets their next puppy from a reputable and established breeder who screened their animals for known health issues in the breed.  So mom started surfing the net and harassing lots of peoples making phone calls but none of the breeders her talked to wanted to sell them a flashy, fawn  female puppy as just a pet, they all wanted to "co-own" da puppy and when it gots older, be able to breed and show it in the ring.
This was not what mom and dad wanted to do so her kept looking.
Then one day mom called Pheasant Hollow Boxers and was told by them that one of the pups, that would be me, from one of their latest  litters had a crooked tail AND could not be shown in the ring AND was a flashy fawn female AND they were willing to sell as a pet.

They sent mom this picture...

Aww...can you say luv at first sight?
Anyhoo...after seeing my picture mom and dad called them back and said they would be down the next day to meet me in "da furs".

Well of course after meeting me in "da furs", mom and dad wanted me as their very own, but I was too young to leaves my fur mom so until I was old enough to come home mom and dad drove down to visit me.
